Steel Mill Cranes
The metallurgical plants needs heavy duty cranes for the whole iron & steel production line including scrap handling, pig iron transportation, casting, forging, quenching, and for semi-finished and finished products like re-bar, slab, billet, wire rod and steel coils.
Weihua can design and manufacture these metallurgical cranes in accordance with JB, DIN EN, FEM, ISO, CMAA standards and provide whole engineering, production, erection and commissioning services for steel mills.
Ladle Crane
The ladle crane is the main equipment in the steel making and continuous casting process. It is mainly used for the converter feeding to the converter and the molten iron; the ladle is hoisted to the refining furnace in the refining span or in the molten steel receiving span, the molten steel is hoisted to the continuous casting ladle turret.
Our Ladle Cranes overall structure are mainly including two or four beam construction with one or two trolleys. The radiation protection device is installed to absorb the radiation heat ensuring the electrical components undamaged from the very high temperatures. Generally the cranes are controlled from a cabin and backed up with ratio remote control device. Meanwhile, air conditioners are installed in the cabins and electric rooms.
Charging Crane
A crane that used for adding scrap steel and other auxiliary materials to the converter in the steel making workshop. The crane mainly adopts double girder equipped with 2 trolleys.
Forging Crane
The forging crane is used for forgings lifting, buffering and turning, it is one of the main lifting equipment in the forging workshop. Because of the cranes are exposed to a strong alternating load when forging the materials. Therefore the chain suspension of the hoist is mounted spring-loaded on the trolley.
Electromagnetic Beam Crane
The EOT cranes with magnet beam are used to transport metal and profiles like re-bar, steel wire rod, steel sheet and plate. It has round, rectangle or special profile magnets working as load carrying devices. The magnet beam can be parallel or perpendicular to the main beam, and a rotating beam can be adopted if needed. The electromagnetic beam is designed with a holding time of 10 minutes in case electric power failures.
Slab Billet Clamp Crane
The slab clamp crane is a special equipment for lifting and handling slabs and billets, especially high-temperature slabs above 650 ℃. It is mainly used for hoisting and handling high-temperature slabs from continuous casting workshop to the slab warehouse or heating furnace, or used for handling normal temperature slabs, stacking, loading and unloading vehicles in the warehouse.
According to the different objects to be transported, the slab clamp cranes can be divided into slab and billet clamps, steel plate clamps, steel coil clamps, and steel ingot clamps.

Cantilever type bucket wheel stacker reclaimer is large-scale handling equipment for bulk materials with efficient and continuous operation which is used in coal and ore storage yards of steel mill The bucket wheel stacker reclaimer produced by Weihua has an arm length range of 20~60m, stacking and reclaiming capacity of 200~11000th. It is widely used in strip raw material yard.
Ship Loader and Ship Unloader
Bridge type grab ship loader and unloader is mainly used for loading and unloading bulk materials like coal, iron ore in steel plant ports and terminal. It is mostly port machine to load and unload bulk cargo in the terminal with the advantages such as maturation, reliability, strong adaptability to different ship types and cargo types, high productivity, high degree of automation, low failure rate and convenient maintenance.
